Collections: Chloé Ready to Wear SS15 at Paris Fashion Week

Chloé Ready to Wear SS15 // Photos by

Oh, how I always adore the way Chloé reflects on Women. The ideal Chloé woman, like Clémence Poésy, nonchalant yet elegant and feminine yet a bit curious, girly. Creative director Clare Waight Keller wanted to use fabrics that each tell a different story. They all have this ‘folkloric’ look, like the encrusted birds in cheesecloth but all represented in sincere and direct shapes.

Trend: Chain, Chain, Chain

Chain Chain Chain…Chain of fools. Oh well, that’s not what I meant, but I couldn’t help but hear Aretha singing in my head. Yes, it really is a nice song but that’s not what I wanted to discuss right now. I wanted to talk with you about one of the latest bag trends. The bags are either fully covered in chains or they have one big, bulky chain as an eyecatcher. Gold, bronze and silver are the shades they appeare in. From the fancy chained shopping baskets at Chanel to the swell Stella McCartney totes.

Outfits: Coral two-piece

Missguided two-piece, Kurt Geiger leopard sandals, Vintage sunnies, bag from the Market in Marrakech and Topshop earrings.

Currently, I’m staying at our family house in Portugal. It is in an authentic, small village near Figueira da Foz. Which is a quite big city with a beautiful boulevard and beach. I used to visit this place since I couldn’t even walk so I might call this my second home. My aunt lives here in Portugal and my niece and cousin are half Portugese – half Dutch. The photos were taken in the little village, I really love the old houses and ruins. I’m always wondering who used to live there and what it looked like when there was still an owner. Every building has it’s own story and history. Later today, I want to snap a few pictures from the village and Figueira da Foz so I can share it later with you.

Collections: Zimmermann Resort 2015

The Resort collections take our minds on a journey to the beautiful paradises on our earth. Australian sisters Zimmermann created a sophisticated feminine Resort 2015 collection with soft crochets, exotic florals and a wonderful metallic addition. The main inspiration comes from the summers they spent on Bali. It’s great how they have managed to capture the magnificence of the Island in these delicate original print, loose, lively and elegant designs.

Trend: Radiant Orchid

Orchid, the color which appeared on the catwalk during shows of  DKNY, Max Mara and several others. It’s been presented as one of the vibrant colors we can wear this summer. In my opinion, a sumptuous addition to our wardrobes. If only I had a garment in Orchid, so before I leave for Portugal I have some serious shopping to do.

Besides fashion, Orchid has also found it’s way into the beauty industry this season. Confession: I truly envy those women who can pull off such an intense haircolor. If I could, I wouldn’t hesitate and give myself this Orchid hairtone immediately. Would you mind wearing something in Orchid? Would love to hear your thoughts about it.
